The call you missed at 12:40 went to voicemail. It didn’t leave one.

GetDentaVoice is an AI receptionist for dental offices that picks up when your front desk can’t — after hours, at lunch, and while the line is already busy. It takes the caller’s name, number and reason, then proposes a time your team confirms.

A recorded call

A new patient in pain, and the number read back

The caller misspeaks their callback number and corrects it, and the agent reads the corrected number back before going further. No appointment is proposed and nothing is booked on this call.

  2. Agent Thanks for calling Texas Dental Center. This is an automated assistant, and this call is recorded for quality purposes. I’m sorry to hear you’re in pain. Can you tell me a little more? Is the pain severe, or do you have any swelling, bleeding, or trouble breathing?
  3. Caller I have no any swelling and bleeding. I want to ask how soon you can see me.
  4. Agent I’m glad it’s not swelling or bleeding. We’d want to get you in as soon as possible given your pain. Let me get a few details so I can request an appointment for you. Can I start with your full name?
  5. Caller My name is Tayeb, and my number is 03011234567.
  6. Caller Sorry, wait, that was wrong. The correct number is 03017654321.
  7. Agent Thank you, Tayeb. Let me read that back. 03017654321. Is that correct?

Three moments your phone is unattended

Not a statistic. Just the three times a week your practice is unreachable and a new patient is dialling.

  1. Tuesday, 12:40pm

    Everyone is at lunch

The phone rings for forty seconds and rolls to voicemail. A person with a cracked molar does not leave a message. They tap the next practice in the map results and that one picks up.

  2. Thursday, 6:15pm

    You closed fifteen minutes ago

This is when people who work call. They have the afternoon off next week and they are trying to book it now. By tomorrow morning the impulse is gone.

  3. Monday, 9:05am

    The line is already busy

Your receptionist is on with a patient rescheduling a crown. The second caller gets a busy tone or a queue. They are a referral and they will not call twice.

Hear it before you believe anything on this page

Three recorded calls, transcripts underneath. Including the one where the agent doesn’t know the answer — that’s the one worth your time.

A lost crown, and two clinical questions refused

The caller asks what to do with the crown, then whether to take a painkiller. The agent refuses both as clinical and offers the on-call team. The caller never accepts, so no handoff happens on this call.

  1. Caller Hi, I am really worried. It’s late at night and my crown just fell out while I was eating. What should I do right now?
  2. Agent Thanks for calling Texas Dental Center. This is an automated assistant, and this call is recorded for quality purposes. It sounds like you may have lost a crown. Is that right? If so, I want to make sure I help you properly. Can you tell me a little more about what’s going on? Are you having any pain or other symptoms along with it?
  3. Caller No, I have no pain and other symptom.
  4. Agent Got it. No pain and no other symptoms. That’s good to hear. For a lost crown, the dentist will need to see you to recement or replace it. I can request an appointment for you. Can I get your full name to start?
  5. Caller Okay, but what should I do with the crown until I see a dentist?
  6. Agent That’s a clinical question, so I’m not able to advise on that. The dentist will be able to guide you at your appointment. If you’d like advice sooner, I can connect you with our on-call team. Would you like me to do that, or shall we go ahead and get an appointment request started for you?
  7. Caller Also, can I take any painkiller right now?
  8. Agent I’m not able to advise on medication. The dentist or our on-call team can answer that for you. Would you like me to connect you to the on-call team? They’d be able to help with both of those questions.

Asked about insurance coverage, three times

The caller pushes for a Delta Dental coverage amount three times. The agent refuses each time — it will not guess at coverage — and redirects to the insurance provider or the front desk, while still offering to book the appointment.

  1. Caller Hi, I am a new patient. I have Delta Dental insurance. Do you accept Delta Dental?
  2. Agent Thanks for calling Texas Dental Center. This is an automated assistant, and this call is recorded for quality purposes. I’m not able to confirm which insurance plans we accept over the phone. You can call your insurance provider directly using the member services number on your card, or you can bring your insurance information to your appointment, and the front desk will verify your benefits. Would you like to schedule a new patient appointment? If so, may I have your full name and a callback number?
  3. Caller Okay. And do you know how much my insurance cover for a crown?
  4. Agent I’m not able to confirm which insurance plans we accept over the phone or quote coverage amounts. For details about your specific benefits, please call your insurance provider directly using the member services number on your card. You can also bring your insurance information to your appointment, and the front desk will verify your benefits and discuss coverage with you. Would you like to schedule an appointment for a crown consultation? If so, may I have your full name and a callback number?
  5. Caller Are you sure? Could you please check how much Delta Dental covers for crown?
  6. Agent I’m not able to confirm which insurance plans we accept or check coverage amounts over the phone. For the most accurate information, please contact your insurance provider directly using the member services number on your card. If you bring your insurance information to your appointment, the front desk will verify your benefits and discuss coverage with you. Would you like to schedule a crown consultation? If so, may I have your full name and a callback number?
  7. Caller Okay, I understand. So what’s the best way to confirm my e- exact crown coverage?
  8. Agent The best way to confirm your exact crown coverage is to call your insurance provider directly using the member services number on your insurance card. They can give you detailed information about your benefits and coverage amounts. You can also bring your insurance information to your appointment, and our front desk team will verify your benefits and explain your coverage before any treatment begins. Would you like to schedule a consultation for your crown? If so, may I have your full name and a callback number?

What it does, and what it refuses to do

The right-hand column is the more important one. An agent that knows its limits is the only kind you should let near your patients.

It handles

  • Answering every call your front desk can’t get to
  • Name, callback number, and the reason for calling
  • Proposing an appointment slot, or booking one
  • Your hours, your appointment types, your emergency script
  • Recording and transcribing the call into your inbox

It refuses

  • Clinical or medical advice of any kind
  • Insurance verification, coverage questions, billing disputes
  • Complaint handling
  • Prescription or medication questions

Those calls get taken down and routed to a human, with a message in your inbox. Every call opens with the agent identifying itself as an automated assistant.

The process

Eight steps, from the first call to every call after

Before you go live

  1. Step 01

A 30-minute call about your front desk

Not a sales call. How a new patient is handled today: what’s asked, in what order, what your receptionist does with someone in pain. Your hours, appointment types, how long each takes.

  2. Step 02

I build it against your script

Your emergency instructions go in verbatim, in your words. It collects the minimum: name, callback number, reason for calling. Not date of birth, not insurance ID.

  3. Step 03

You call it yourself and try to break it

From a real phone, not a widget on a screen. Tell me everywhere it was wrong and I fix those over the next two days, before anything is forwarded. Nothing paid, and no call has left your line.

  4. Step 04

The forward goes on, under your conditions

After hours only, after a set number of rings, or when the line is busy — you choose, and change it any time. The only change to your phone system, and you can undo it.

On every call, after that

  1. Step 05

    It says what it is

Every call opens with the agent identifying itself as an automated assistant and stating the call is recorded. Recording law varies by state, so this runs everywhere.

  2. Step 06

It listens and takes three things

Name, callback number, and the reason for the call in the caller’s own words. It repeats the number back.

  3. Step 07

It proposes a time — it does not commit you

In request mode, where most practices start, it offers a slot and says a team member will confirm. Nothing enters your book automatically. In calendar mode it writes to a Google Calendar your front desk can see, with the full transcript.

  4. Step 08

You get the call in your inbox

Audio, transcript, and the three fields, in a sheet you own. Before your receptionist has finished their coffee.

Any one of these can be switched off in a minute

The longer version, including what happens if it fails

Work out what those calls are worth to you

We publish no revenue claim anywhere on this site. Put your own numbers in and decide whether the maths is interesting.

After hours, lunch, and while the line is busy. A rough count is fine.

Your number, not an industry average. US dollars.

Monthly revenue those calls represent

$0

Assumes 30% of recovered calls become booked patients. That is the assumption this calculator makes, stated so you can disagree with it — change your inputs and the number changes with them.

The Empty Chair Program

Founding client program — 2 practices. You test it on your own phone before you pay for any of it.

  1. Step 01 · Free

    A number you dial yourself

Thirty minutes on the phone about how your front desk handles a new patient. 48 hours later you get a live number running your hours and your emergency script. Nothing paid, nothing forwarded.

  2. Step 02 · Build

    $500 to build and launch

Refundable for the first 30 days if the agent misses the standard, without you asking. Every recording and transcript from the trial stays yours either way.

  3. Step 03 · Try

    First 30 days free

No card on file, so nothing auto-charges on day 31. When the month is up you decide whether to keep going, and the price below starts only then.

Call it from your own phone. Call it at 9pm. Call it mumbling. Ask it about Delta Dental and listen to it refuse. If it doesn’t survive that call, we’re done and you’ve spent half an hour. Everything below only matters if it does.

Then, if you continue

$697/month

Month to month, cancel any time. Locked for your first 12 months.

The standard, in numbers

95% of forwarded calls answered within three rings. Every callback number read back to the caller. Zero clinical or insurance answers given. You get those three counts in writing every week.

Everything that’s included

The five things owners actually ask

Will my phone number change?

No. We forward calls from your existing line under the conditions you choose — after hours only, after a set number of rings, or when the line is busy. Your number, your voicemail, your caller ID. If you cancel, you remove the forward and everything is exactly as it was.

What happens when the agent can't handle a call?

It stops trying. It takes the caller’s name, number, and reason for calling, tells them a team member will call back, and drops a transcript into your inbox and your sheet. It never guesses at a clinical question and never argues with an upset caller.

For anything urgent — pain, swelling, bleeding, trauma — it gives the caller your emergency instructions and offers to transfer or page, exactly as you specify during setup.

Does it work with Dentrix / Eaglesoft / Open Dental / Curve?

Not directly, and I'd rather tell you that up front than discover it in week two.

The agent writes into a Google Calendar your front desk can see, and sends every booking as a notification with the full transcript. Your team confirms it into your practice management software the same way you’d handle a booking taken on paper after hours.

If you’d rather not have anything land on a calendar automatically, we run in request mode: the agent collects everything and proposes a time, and nothing is booked until a human approves it. Most practices start here.

If your PMS exposes an API your practice already pays for, we can look at a direct write. That’s a separate conversation, not part of this program.

Does it sound like a robot?

It sounds like a calm receptionist with an even voice. It is not going to be mistaken for your best front-desk person, and any vendor telling you otherwise is selling you something.

The comparison that matters isn’t the agent versus your receptionist. It’s the agent versus the voicemail that call is hitting right now.

Listen to a real recorded call before you decide. That’s what the 15-minute call is for.

Can I turn it off?

Instantly, and without asking me. Remove the call forward and every call goes back to your line. There’s no contract term after the first 12-month price lock, and no cancellation fee. Month to month.

All questions, answered at length

Get a number to call yourself

Half an hour on the phone: I ask how your front desk handles a new patient today, and 48 hours later you get a live number running your hours and your emergency script. You call it yourself. If it is not a fit for your practice, I’ll tell you plainly on that first call.
